Superplastic

Superplastic is a character-based product and entertainment company. They make limited edition art toys, apparel, games, and animation based on characters created in collaboration with some of the greatest artists in the world.

They believe that getting everything we want, instantly and with little effort, kills beauty. When every product, song, and video can be bought and downloaded at a moment’s notice there is nothing left to covet. Nothing is precious.

Superplastic was founded on the principle that effort and scarcity are intrinsic components of value. They appropriate the tools of mass media and mass production to create limited edition works of art for a limited audience. Producing everything in small runs means we can afford to take risks, and to make unique things that our fans and customers love.

Superplastic was founded by artist & entrepreneur Paul Budnitz (Kidrobot, Ello, Budnitz Bicycles) . Legendary toy artist Huck Gee is in charge of art & production. They’re located in Burlington, Vermont.
