Whilst the extraordinary openwork structure of the Special Edition 400% Tiger BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR highlights the beauty of the Malayan tiger Panthera tigris tigris, it also serves as a reminder of the fragile state of the species, of which less than 150 exist in the wild in 2022, and of its status as Critically Endangered under the IUCN Red List for Threatened Species.

Extravagant pewter flourishes make this a powerful expression of the Langkasuka style of the Malay peninsula’s northern states, heartland of Malay culture.

A cartoon-like bear in anthropomorphic form, MEDICOM TOY’s BE@RBRICK debuted in Tokyo in 2001.
